Yacht Controller for easy docking, 3-Cabin Layout with Midship Master, Upgraded Raymarine Electronics with all the tech. This impressive 2006 Riviera 47 Open Flybridge combines proven offshore capability with a highly practical cruising layout and an extensive list of upgrades. A versatile and well-equipped motor yacht, the Riviera 47 offers the perfect balance of performance, comfort and entertaining space for extended cruising, fishing and family adventures
The spacious teak-laid cockpit is ideally suited to both serious offshore fishing and relaxed entertaining. The cockpit features a large eutectic refrigerator/freezer, live bait tank, extensive rod storage and built-in rod holders, while the teak duckboard provides excellent access to the water. A hot and cold transom shower, freshwater and saltwater hose connections and generous storage throughout make this a highly practical working cockpit. The teak extendable cockpit table creates a comfortable entertaining area, while the Stamoid extension awning and interchangeable shade screens provide excellent protection from the elements.
The interior provides the warm, practical feel Riviera is renowned for, with cream leather lounge and dining seating, high-gloss timber finishes and generous natural light throughout. The saloon includes a Samsung television, icemaker, additional refrigeration and a clever slide-out double berth beneath the lounge. The forward galley is well equipped for extended cruising, featuring a Fisher & Paykel twin ceramic cooktop, Smeg convection microwave, under-bench refrigerator and separate three-compartment freezer. Timber flooring, ample storage, air conditioning and an inverter with multiple power points complete a highly functional cruising galley.
Powered by twin Cummins QSM11 660HP diesel engines, this Riviera offers proven shaft-drive performance with approximately 1,600 hours on each engine. The four-bladed propellers have been treated with Prop Speed, while hydraulic steering, trim tabs and a Side Power bow thruster further enhance handling. With a 2,700-litre fuel capacity, the Riviera is well suited to extended cruising and offshore adventures, offering a comfortable cruising speed of approximately 21–22 knots and a maximum speed up to 30 knots.
The three-cabin, two-bathroom layout provides excellent versatility for family cruising and extended stays onboard. The master stateroom features a queen island bed, twin wardrobes, additional storage and a private ensuite. The second guest cabin provides a generous king-size berth with substantial storage and access to the two-way bathroom, while the third cabin features full-length single bunks. The saloon and flybridge can also be converted to additional sleeping areas, allowing the vessel to accommodate up to 10 guests when required. A Miele washer/dryer is also fitted onboard, adding further practicality for longer cruising adventures.
The open flybridge is a standout area of this Riviera, providing an elevated helm position with excellent visibility and a generous entertaining space. Two adjustable helm seats are complemented by a large portside lounge and starboard wraparound seating with adjustable table. The flybridge also features a convertible double berth, refrigerator with freezer, hot and cold sink, Clarion entertainment system and Bose speakers. A hardtop with opening hatch and recently installed Strataglass clears provide flexibility in varying weather conditions.
The vessel benefits from a significant electronics upgrade completed in 2022, with the Raymarine navigation package representing an investment of more than $26,500. Twin Raymarine displays provide GPS, charting, radar, sounder and autopilot functions, supported by a satellite dome and steering compass. An Icom VHF, chain counter, Cummins electronic engine controls and aerial package complete the navigation equipment. The addition of a Yacht Controller provides convenient wireless control when manoeuvring around the marina or coming alongside. The vessel is also equipped with three onboard cameras covering the engine room, cockpit and saloon, allowing key areas of the vessel to be monitored from onboard.
Extended time onboard is well catered for with an Onan 11KVA generator, HRO Seafari watermaker, inverter and three air-conditioning units servicing the saloon, master and guest areas. The vessel carries 620 litres of freshwater and 150 litres of holding capacity. The four start batteries and four house batteries were replaced in 2024, while the 12V battery charger was replaced in February 2025. The vessel also features a built-in vacuum system and three bilge pumps, with the float switches replaced in 2025.
The forward deck features a substantial Besenzoni 400kg davit with remote control, providing an impressive tender-handling solution. A stainless-steel tender cradle is fitted on the bow, while anchoring is managed by a Muir windlass with an 80lb Manson Plough anchor and 125 metres of 10mm chain. Walkaround side decks provide easy movement around the vessel, while the bow Side Power thruster assists with close-quarter manoeuvring.
